A 28-year-old resident from Pirna committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan at Sanquelim on Friday.
According to Bicholim police, Siddharth G Gawas from Kel-Pirna hanged himself in the office, where he was working.
Meanwhile in another incident, Arun Gaonkar (35) from Madel-Chodan succumbed to injuries at GMC, Bambolim on Friday. Arun was undergoing treatment after he met with an accident on November 29.
Cow rescued: Bicholim fire force personnel on Thursday retrieved a cow from a 20-feet deep well at Ladphem-Bicholim.
According to fire force personnel, cow belonging to one Datta Naik had gone missing since the last four days. Bicholim fire force officials led by L S Naik rushed to the spot and retrieved the cow in a two-hour operation. M S Raut, B S Naik, P A Kambli, S Kesarkar, D V Sinari, X V Tanod and S N Gawas took part in the operation.
