Plaints cell for power consumers

The state government has set up a consumer grievances redressal forum at Vidhyut Bhavan, Vasco, to look after complaints pertaining to power grievances.
A notification states the forum has been formed under Section 42(5) of the Electricty Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and regulation number 3 of Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission Regulations, 2009.
Further, according to the notification, the chairperson of the forum and one of the two members will be appointed by the state Electricity Department, while the second member by Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the state of Goa and other Union territories.
The notification is issued by Secretary (Power) S Kumaraswamy.
