MARGAO: JMFC Ashwini Khanolkar while observing that the Maina-Curtorim Police have not investigated the matter against a real estate developer has referred the matter back to the police with instructions to investigate the matter thoroughly.
The order came following a complaint by Menino Santana Fernandes that in the original Deed of Sale an area of 5000 sqmts was shown as open space which was subsequently developed into nine plots and hence it amounted to cheating.
Maina-Curtorim Police Station PI Pravinkumar Vast along with PSI Alvito Rodrigues had filed for closing the case on grounds that the case is undetected which move was challenged by Menino.
After hearing the arguments, Judge Khanolkar upheld Menino Santana Fernandes arguments and observed that certain aspects of the case have not been investigated properly.
