PANJIM: Crime Branch (CB) on Saturday bust another online prostitution racket, the second in 10 days, rescuing two non-Goan victims and arresting a pimp at Calangute. The trap was laid on National Highway-17 on Saturday evening where racketeer Rohit Saxena was caught red-handed with two girls from Pune and Delhi.
SP Kartik Kashyap said the girls, aged between 20 and 25 years, were brought after a decoy customer struck a deal with the pimp, details of which were available on the website ‘goapleasantescortservice’ – that Saxena allegedly operates.
“The Pune-based pimp was residing in a house at Arpora, which was also allegedly used for nefarious activities. The girls were kept in a guest house,” Kashyap said. The rescued girls were remanded to the protective home.
CB, on April 20, had bust another online prostitution racket rescuing four women and arresting a lady pimp Tanya Sharma, running the main operations from Nagoa.
The women originally hailed from Chandigarh, Punjab, Thane (Maharashtra) and Rajasthan. The alleged accused would operate though website www.sooni.in – Goa High Profile that uploaded a number of photos of local and foreign victim girls, besides contact details.
