PANJIM: The committee of Goa Legislative Assembly, which is conducting inquiry into the alleged police-politician-drug mafia nexus, will table its report in the upcoming Winter Session of the State Assembly this month.

Sources confirmed that the voluminous report, which the committee head by Francisco alias Mickky Pacheco had claimed will run into 25,000 pages, will be tabled during the five-day session beginning from January 28.

The panel was formed during the last Monsoon Session of Assembly after several legislators sought explanation on the reported role of Roy, son of former home minister Ravi Naik in the drug trade. The committee was to submit its report by 2012 December-end.

Lucky Farmhouse, former girlfriend of Israeli Yaniv Benaim alias Atala who exposed his links with the politicians and police, has named Roy in her deposition to the local investigating agencies through Interpol.
