The CID Crime Branch of Goa Police is looking out for two absconding prisoners Prakash Subhash Parab of Sonarwado, Anjuna and Pralhad Krishna Patil of Mormugao, who were released on parole but have not surrendered back to jail.
On April 8, 2001 accused Prakash alias Mor alias Tutu, Subhash Parab, Age 34 Yrs, was arrested by Calangute Police Station in U/s 350, 302 r/w 34 IPC for assaulting with murder.
He was convicted by Additional Session Court, Mapusa on April 10. 2001 to undergo sentence of life imprisonment and also to pay a fine of Rs. 3,000 and in default to undergo imprisonment for six months for offence punishable u/s 302 r/w 34 IPC.
While undergoing sentence, he was released on parole and was directed to surrender back to the jail, however he did not surrender back to jail.
In a similar case, Pralhad, son of Krishna Patil, was arrested by Curchorem Police on September 27, 1997 native of Amyingade Garjinal, Bagalkot, Karnataka, Age 32 yrs. Under section 302 r/w 34 IPC for murder.
He was convicted by Additional Session Judge, South Goa Margao and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment and also to pay fine of Rs. 2000 each in default to undergo imprisonment for further period of three months.
He was released on parole and was directed to surrender back to the jail.
However he did not surrender back to jail.
The Superintendent of Central Jail, Aguada Goa has registered NC complaints at the Calangute police station against the two.
