The 16-year-old girl had stated that the pimps had booked a room at M N Resorts, Little Baga, in Arpora, for commercial sex. Luckily, she was rescued minutes after she called the police control room, after which she narrated her ordeal on July 14.
“The resort is part of the investigation, only because the victim has named it, in her complaint copy. None of the employees were found to be involved thus far and neither anyone from the resort is named as an accused,” a police officer said.
Rubina, Ghansham alias Raju, Lala, Suraj Raut alias Chandan, Shantanu Kumar Das, Deeptimayee alias Rinki Barik and Rahul alias Santosh were arrested under various sections of Indian Penal Code, Goa Children’s Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act 2012.
The girl was sexually exploited by at least 12 men in Cuttack before the accused forcibly brought her to Goa for flesh trade.
