Nearly 10 days after the merciless killing of an elderly security guard at Christian Art Gallery, Old Goa police is still groping in the dark and is clueless about the killers.

PANJIM: Nearly 10 days after the merciless killing of an elderly security guard at Christian Art Gallery, Old Goa police is still groping in the dark and is clueless about the killers.

With no physical description of the murderers, the police are relying on call details and CCTV footage in Panvel railway station hoping it could throw some light on the probe.

Luis Bogato, 55, was killed by unidentified men inside the Christian Art Gallery on January 25 and Indo-Portuguese artifacts worth crores of rupees were stolen.

One of the three teams sent to three different places is back from Panvel empty handed. An officer said that technical experts have been sent to Panvel to retrieve the data from the surveillance cameras.

“At times, even after the footage is erased, it gets stored in the master memory. If there is an option to retrieve data frp, the memory, our experts can easily get them,” said sources.

The police had laid their hands on railway tickets from the crime spot which is suspected to be that of the accused.
