According to police investigation, the IRB police personnel initially conducted a search in the parking area near railway station where they were dropped by bus and later conducted search at all the platforms.
Upon realisation of the missing cartridge, the personnel had stayed back and reported the matter to Margao Police late Tuesday night. However, on Wednesday morning around 10 am, missing four boxes each containing 10 cartridges, were found in a gutter hardly half kilometre away from the platform.
