The District Magistrate has issued a show cause notice to D’Costa asking him as to why he should not be removed from the jurisdiction of South Goa District under the Goa Maintenance of Public Order and Safety Act, 1988 as his presence is posing constant hazard in the maintenance of public peace in the locality and his movements are causing alarm and fear in the minds of the public.

The District Magistrate in the notice stated that there are reasonable grounds that D’Costa is engaged in commissioning of cognisable offences and number of cases have been filed and preventive measures initiated against him have not been of any use in   controlling and preventing his criminal activities.

As per the report of the South Superintendent of Police, D’Costa, a resident of Panguna, Khairikttem, Sanguem has been involved in serious crimes several times and continues with his criminal activities with impunity, which are practically uncontrollable and in-corrigible. He has been constantly and regularly figuring adversely on police report for his act of lawlessness.
