MARGAO: Colva police have registered two cases following complaints of assault lodged by children of well-known persons from Salcete and both cases that occurred in Benaulim happened early on Sunday morning after Easter celebrations.
In the first case, Antonio Sequeira, son of former minister Aleixo Sequeira, was assaulted by one Akash Rajyadakhs and four other persons at Sudden Death, a well-known bar and restaurant at Benaulim.
“Nobody knows the reason for the assault and why it happened,” Colva PI Filomeno Costa said.
In the other incident, also at Benaulim, on the road leading to Varca, MLA Churchill Alemao’s nephew Krushal Alemao was reportedly assaulted by one Rosvin Moraes from Navelim, as the two were competing with each other to overtake on the road.
Krushal, who is Churchill’s youngest brother Kennedy’s son, was assaulted at around 3:30 am and has lodged complaint on Monday.
