PANJIM: In an apparent reference to the speculation on L K Advani, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said on national media the after the age of 65, leaders should retire or should stop taking decisions.

Trying to play down Parrikar’s statement to national media, the BJP Spokesman Sudhanshu Trivedi stated, “Every CM has his individual views but our party is democratic and there is no rift…”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday said that the Indians are waiting for BJP-led NDA coalition to return to power at the Centre as it is the only alternative for good governance.

Just a day before BJP national executive meeting, Chief Minister updated his ‘Facebook’ profile giving a warm welcome to the party senior leaders. The meeting is scheduled for June 8-9.

“Indians are waiting for BJP-led NDA to return to power at the Centre to deliver good governance,” Parrikar has said on his Facebook page.

“This country so badly desires and deserves good governance,” Parrikar added. Considering that Lok Sabha elections are only few months away this conclave will be crucial in setting up a roadmap towards winning the elections.
