MAPUSA: Amit Shet from Pomburpa, the 26-year-old youth, who was absconding after allegedly raping a minor, surrendered before the Mapusa police on Friday morning.
The accused allegedly raped the minor on April 30 evening when the victim’s parents were away from home. Since then the accused was absconding and had applied for an anticipatory bail, which was rejected.
Mapusa PI Kapil Nayak confirmed that the alleged rape accused surrendered before the Mapusa police on Friday morning.
