Ponda diesel leak: owner cautioned

PONDA: Taluka authorities have asked a fuel station owner at Tisk-Ponda to take precautionary measures, following reports of diesel leakage at the fuel station.

PONDA: Taluka authorities have asked a fuel station owner at Tisk-Ponda to take precautionary measures, following reports of diesel leakage at the fuel station.
According to information, locals in the area had claimed that there were traces of fuel visible in the mud of a nullah near the fuel pump at Tisk. 
Following information, ward councillor Venkatesh Naik along with the Ponda Municipal Council municipal engineer visited the area and reportedly noticed diesel, in the nullah when a layer of mud was removed from the said nullah. Ponda fire personnel also visited the site and collected samples, while the Ponda mamlatdar office has asked the fuel pump owner to take precautions.
