The city wore a festive look as flags, buntings, decorations and masks were seen hanging on most poles.
The procession commenced from Tisk-Ponda and later proceeded through the PMC, State Bank of India and Dada Vaidya Chowk, before culminating at the Ponda bus stand.
Elaborate traffic arrangements were made.
