PANJIM: The Portuguese Environment Minister João Pedro de Matos Fernandes, will travel to Goa between September 28 and 30 to sign a MoU between the company Águas de Portugal Internacional and the Public Works Department of Goa.
The Portuguese authorities will also visit the Opa Water Treatment Station located in Ponda.
Matos Fernandes will be received by Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma, and by PWD Minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar.
In New Delhi, the Portuguese Minister will meet Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Uma Bharti, Road Transport and Highways, Ports and Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Forestry, Environment and Climate Change Minister Mahesh Sharma.
The expectation of the ministerial meetings that will take place at the Mahatma Ghandi International Sanitation Convention of the capital, has the objective of sharing the Portuguese experience in sanitation, namely the challenges faced and solutions found.
