MAPUSA: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte along with residents on Wednesday met North Goa SP Shobhit Saxena and discussed the deteriorating law and order situation in his constituency.
“We are having lot of issues as Porvorim PI has become a puppet of the Government and has been intimidating, insulting and not delivering justice to Porvorim residents who have been filing complaints. Porvorim PI is neither registering FIRs nor initiating action”, Khaunte alleged.
Referring to the case of Krishna Naik, who was caught by the Crime Branch with pistol and live bullets, Khaunte said, “This person was earlier found roaming with knife during Holi and was involved in attack on doctor, creating chaos during Narkasur”.
“In last one month we have seen a rape attempt, cases filed but no action has been taken by the police”, he claimed.
