PANJIM: In view of the ongoing construction work of the third bridge across River Mandovi, the District Magistrate has authorised the closure of the stretch of road from Hero Honda Circle, Porvorim up to Malim Circle on both sides from 10 pm to 6 am to facilitate work of lifting/erection of segments of the bridge.
During the period the road is closed, two-wheelers, cars and emergency vehicles will be diverted at Malim Circle and near ACDIL High School Junction to proceed via the Betim Gurudwara road.
All heavy and commercial vehicles, including inter-state buses and tourist buses, will be diverted at Karaswada junction and at Merces Circle to take the alternative route.
The traffic arrangements shall remain till the completion of work and the District Magistrate has also authorised the erection of sign boards to regulate traffic.
