Urban Development Minister Digambar Kamat has said that around 50% of the ongoing infrastructure project in Porvorim has already been completed. He added that the work had been progressing at a good pace until recently.
However, due to traffic diversions and related constraints, the remaining portion of the project is expected to take longer than initially planned. As a result, the project completion timeline has now been revised, with the work likely to be finished by December this year, the minister said.
Kamat assured that efforts are being made to minimise inconvenience to commuters while ensuring the project is completed to the required standards.
