A casino director who survived the recent Porvorim shooting has requested official police escort and pilot vehicles, citing persistent threats to his life. In a formal representation, he stated two armed assailants carried out a pre-planned, targeted attack. He noted his personal bodyguard’s licensed firearm was seized for forensic examination, leaving his private security compromised. Fearing key individuals who financed or facilitated the attack remain at large, he has asked Goa Police for temporary official protection during his movements while authorities review the request.
