PANJIM: In view of problems facing his constituency such as acute water shortage, Porvorim water treatment plant missing its May 31 commissioning deadline and the incomplete sewerage network, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte met PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar.

While he received an assurance that the issues would be addressed in 8 days’ time, Khaunte warned that people would protest on the streets if it’s not done.
On a separate issue, Khaunte also called on the concerned government departments to focus on starting online motivational campaigns in tandem with school/college educational portals as he said children are experiencing severe psychological issues in the pandemic scenario.
