The Public Prosecutor has already argued on the inclusion of Section 341 in the case in which Mickky and Mathew Diniz are facing trial since several years. The case will come up on November 2.
Mickky’s advocate has in the past alleged that he has been illegally and falsely implicated in this case and made to appear for 5 years. The complainant in Mickky Pacheco casino extortion case Gerald Fernandes had prayed to the court for appointment of a lawyer to assist the public prosecutor in the case as he claimed that accused is a former minister and is an influential person. Accordingly, the court had allowed the plea and Winnie Coutinho was assisting the PP.
Adv Anacleto has in the past also argued on behalf Mathew Diniz and has called the charges against him as frivolous. Mickky has already been warned by Judge Kalpana Gawas for his statement calling a part of the judicial system as ‘legal terrorists’.
