Goa Forward leader Prabhav Naik criticised the BJP over the recent hike in petrol and diesel prices, sarcastically describing it as a “birthday gift” for the common people on the occasion of the BJP national president’s birthday.
In a sharp political attack, Naik referred to the BJP as the “Bhartiya Jaadu Party” and called Prime Minister Narendra Modi the “Prime Magician of India,” alleging that the continuous rise in fuel prices is placing an increasing burden on ordinary citizens.
Mocking the repeated fuel price revisions, Naik remarked, “Show must go on,” while accusing the government of continuing to increase fuel rates despite the financial difficulties faced by the public.
His comments come amid the latest fuel price hikes across the country, with petrol and diesel prices witnessing multiple increases over the past few days due to rising global crude oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
