President to lay foundation stone for Goa’s 35th Statehood Day

As Goa prepares to observe its 35th Statehood Day on 30th May 2022, President Ram Nath Kovind will not only preside over the celebratory event to be held, but he will also lay the foundation stone that will commence the construction of the new Raj Bhavan building. The celebration is set to take place at Darbar Hall at the Raj Bhavan complex.  

All Goa chief ministers to date will be commended on the occasion, said CM Pramod Sawant. The President and the Governor of Goa will also felicitate 35 persons who have contributed to pushing Goa forward. The Directorate of Information will also call for nominations for persons who have contributed to the shaping of Goa in different fields. The Chief Minister also added that individuals could also send in nominations themselves to the Department of Information while the Government will also identify nominations on its own.
