MARGAO: Well known tiatrist Prince Jacob released his latest offering “Aao Ja-o Goa Tumhara” in a dramatic manner at the Ravindra Bhavan Margao where the first show in Goa was staged in Pai Tiatrist Hall.
The tiatr was released in Pune on July 21 and thereafter was staged in Mumbai 10 times before being officially released in Goa.
The cast donning their costumes entered Ravindra Bhavan through the main entrance even as tiatr lovers were waiting in queue to enter the hall. The cast entered shouting their lines from the tiatr and to the sounds of the gumot being beaten repeatedly.
Speaking to media persons Prince Jacob said the tiatr was based on Goans migrating to foreign countries specially England and Indians migrating to Goa. “Nobody can stop this migration,” he said. However, he said he was trying to pass on a message to those migrating to Goa to honour and respect the values and laws of Goa just as Goans do that in whichever place on the world they go to.
