VASCO: An electronic printer-cum-scanner under the nose of Vasco Mamlatdar reportedly went missing, on Saturday night. The incident has raised the question of safety and security of the important documents which are being submitted by people daily in the Mamlatdar office.
In a shocking incident, an electronic printer-cum-scanner was reportedly stolen from the Mormugao Mamlatdar’s office.
When contacted, Mormugao Mamlatdar Office Talathi Amresh Naik informed that it was his printer-cum-scanner which got stolen. It was being used in the Mamlatdar’s office to print and scan the important documents.
Naik narrated that on Saturday he finished work and left and next day on Sunday morning when he reported in the office noticed that his printer-cum-scanner was missing from the place. He said that he enquired with the staff members from his office, from the control room as well as from the Deputy Collector’s office just to be sure whether somebody has borrowed it for their work, but everyone replied in negative.
Naik further informed that he has prepared a report and submitted to the Mamlatdar who has assured to file a complaint in the Vasco Police Station about the incident.
