Proposed amendments to the Goa Land Development & Building Construction Regulation scrapped

All proposed amendments to the Goa Land Development & Building Construction Regulation have been scrapped, Goa TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane has told Herald in an exclusive chat on Monday that all cases under Section 16B are scrapped and nearly 7,000 applications had got provisional approvals.

An expert committee headed by Vinayak Bharne, with Swati Salgaonkar and others will be constituted shortly to study the matter. The Expert Committee will interact will all the opposition parties, NGOs and activists and get their perspectives on the earlier proposed Amendments after which the TCP board will meet to take stock of those discussions and then decide how to proceed further.
