PANJIM: Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte on Saturday proposed to bring “Kranti” (revolution) in Tourism and Information Technology (IT) so as to make these sectors the main backbone of the State. The minister said that the government has mooted to put in place the Tourism Act in the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Legislative Assembly.
“We want to bring‘kranti’ in Tourism and IT. We have to start focusing and as it is the government has started creating awareness in this regard,” he said adding,
“During the upcoming Assembly Session which is scheduled to being in July, we are trying to put Tourism Act in place, policies in place.” The government, the minister added, will also fine tune the water sports and beach shack policies.
