PANJIM: Panjim police busted a prostitution racket with the arrest of three pimps from Dona Paula. Two girls, in their early 20s, were rescued in the raid late Monday night.
The accused, Arfan Ahmed a native of Andheri West (Mumbai), M D Shabbir from Kolkata and M D Imran, from Jharkhand were caught red-handed with the two Mumbai-based victims.
“They had struck a deal with the decoy customer and were called at Dona Paula along with the victims. The girls were brought from Mumbai only for this purpose. They were caught and subsequently arrested,” an officer said. The victims, who admitted that the trio lured them into the racket, have been sent to the Protective Home.
