PANJIM: Even after one-week, Public Works Department (PWD) is yet to act on Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari’s direction to resolve the hardships faced by senior citizens due to ill-planned expansion work of national highway at Bambolim.
Following en email letter by a senior citizen from Palmar Colony, Bambolim, Gadkari though his private secretary Sanket Bhondve on September 17 asked the National Highway Authority of India, Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary (PWD) to look into the problems and to take necessary measures. But till today the concerned authorities have done nothing in this regard.
Taking note of the difficulties faced by the senior citizens, Gadkari had immediately instructed the authorities to look into the problem and to solve it.
