Rane must probe ex-TCP minister, errant TCP officials: Sardinha

MARGAO: Criticising the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane for targeting Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Michael Lobo, South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha demanded that Rane carries out an inquiry against all the alleged illegal actions committed by former TCP Minister Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar.

He also called for action to be taken against errant TCP officials and added that the common man should not be made to suffer.

Reiterating that the government should act against all the illegalities and all persons involved in such actions, Sardinha questioned the manner in which Lobo had been targeted and said it was clear that Lobo was being singled out after he became Leader of the Opposition.

He further questioned why the former TCP Minister Kavlekar was not being similarly investigated for all the alleged fraudulent conversions that were done during his tenure as the TCP Minister. 

Further, Sardinha pointed out that the illegal bungalow constructed in the heritage site at Old Goa is still standing and has not been demolished despite all the talk of taking action.
