revealed that the
alleged accused Virendra Shinde, a resident of Sawantawadi, Maharashtra, is a student of Class 12, and had come to Canacona in search of a job.
Police said the accused was related to the victim, and was staying with her family when he developed a relationship with her, and later raped her. The victim is six months pregnant, said the police. Canacona PI Chandrakhant Gawas said that Shinde has beenremanded in 14 day-judicial custody.
