MAPUSA: Saligao MLA Kedar Naik along with panch members of Reis Magos Village Panchayat and villagers submitted a representation to Bardez Mamlatdar raising objection to the voters list of panchayat jurisdiction.
The MLA and villagers said that delimitation of wards of Reis Magos Panchayat for the forthcoming elections is not as per geographical area where 75 per cent voters are shifted to different wards.

They alleged that the voters list is illegal since there is no logic or any reasoning in such shifting.
Naik said, “The local body members had approached me highlighting the errors on the list of water and delimitation of wards for the panchayat elections. After going through the list, it is learnt that the delimitation is not done as per geographical area. If the list of 2017 panchayat elections is compared to present list than almost 75 per cent voters are shifted. We have submitted a representation to Goa State Election Commission and Mamlatdar of Bardez stating that geographical area as well as the guidelines of Official Gazette is not followed.”
