Reis Magos Revives Horseback Tradition for Feast of the Three Kings

The Feast of the Three Kings was celebrated with deep faith and spiritual fervour at Reis Magos, with Auxiliary Bishop Rev. Simão Fernandes presiding as the main celebrant, along with parish priest Rev. Fr. Benjamin and other clergy. Reviving a long-cherished tradition, the Eucharistic celebration began only after the symbolic arrival of the Three Kings. Representing the Wise Men from the East, the Kings arrived on horseback from three different directions and converged at the church, accompanied by a traditional brass band. In his homily, Bishop Fernandes reflected on the message of Epiphany, urging the faithful to offer their lives to Christ with humility and faith. Fr. Benjamin thanked parishioners for their support and expressed joy over reviving the tradition. The celebration concluded with a procession and final blessing.
