MARGAO: The repair of the roads opposite the Navelim church began amidst heavy criticism by Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro and the Panchayat against the Engineers of the National Highway Roads division for the constant dilapidation of the roads.
Faleiro questioned the Engineers of the National Highway Roads Division so as to how the road near Navelim church gets washed off or develops potholes so often. However, the Engineers had no answer.
Faleiro said that this particular road stretch has gone back to bad shape and have been repeatedly repaired at least 22 times during monsoon itself. “Engineers couldn’t help, now I pray to the Ruzai Saibin may bless us with good road here at least this time”.
“It is the right of the people to have good roads to ensure their safe commute. Equally important is the maintenance of the drainage system” reminded Navelim MLA Luizinho.
