According to Colva police, Salazar was home alone on Friday night. When the maid went to his house on Saturday, she found the bedroom door locked from inside. She informed Pereira’s relatives, who later called the police who broke open the door and found Pereira dead on his bed.
Sources informed that the family doctor, who visited the house after learning of Pereira’s death, suspects that he may have had a seizure, while his close friends speculated that he may have had a stroke.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for a post-mortem.
