Right wing outfit wants law banning cow slaughter

PANJIM: A Hindu right wing organization Tuesday demanded that a bill be introduced in the Goa Assembly to ban cow slaughter in the State. In-order to fulfill this demand, for introducing this anti-cow slaughter bill along with launch of national ‘Gokul’ mission, the right wing Hindu outfits have announced a three-day long mass agitation at Azad Maidan from Oct 4.

PANJIM: A Hindu right wing organization Tuesday demanded that a bill be introduced in the Goa Assembly to ban cow slaughter in the State. 
In-order to fulfill this demand, for introducing this anti-cow slaughter bill along with launch of national ‘Gokul’ mission, the right wing Hindu outfits have announced a three-day long mass agitation at Azad Maidan from Oct 4. 
The Hindu outfits under the banner Govansha Raksha Abhiyan (GRA) have appealed to all political parities including the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party to make their stand clear on cow slaughter. 
Addressing media persons Tuesday evening, GRA president Hanumant Parab said that its high time political parties come out openly and declared their stand on cow slaughter. He demanded that the anti-cow slaughter bill be introduced at the earliest.
 and a special agency for protection of cattle be set up, failing which the agitation would be intensified. 
Welcoming the High Court order, Parab said that government should ensure that there is no illegal slaughter of cow or bulls other then at the Goa Meat Complex.
