PONDA: The unused four-lane road at Bandora has become a place for liquor parties.
The issue was raised at the Bandora gram sabha where the villagers demanded that action be taken and stop the nuisance of liquor consumption on the four-lane road.
The villagers complained that beer bottles are broken and abandoned, making the road dangerous.
The locals have demanded that police patrol the area. The road construction supervisor there said that several times he cleared the broken bottles, but nuisance has not stopped.
Though government had inaugurated the road on January 9 for public, practically it is not used as work is under progress along entire stretch and currently the traffic on highway proceeds on services road by the side of Dhavlim-Farmagudi Highway.
