Before the rains, the FL Gomes road road in Vasco was dug up right from Kariawado junction to IOC Terminus ostensibly for underground cabling work. However the dug up part was not tarred but filled with stones and mud. Due to incessant rains, the mud has been washed away. At several places, this has left deep craters on the road especially at the old Vasco bus-stand which is now used for the city buses. This causes great inconvenience to road users and can lead accidents. The authorities concerned need to use a jet-patcher to repair the road at the bus-stand as a stop-gap arrangement till such time that the entire dug-up part of the road is hot-mixed.
