MARGAO: Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado on Tuesday distributed tablets to students of Rosary High School, Navelim in the presence of Information Technology Corporation Chairman Subhash Faldesai.
In his brief address, Avertano made a fervent appeal to the students to make good use of the tabs to enrich their knowledge. He also promised the Rosary school management that the government would soon build a four-storey building for the school. “The Parish Priest has given his NOC for the project. Work on the building construction will commence soon”, he said.
Subhash Faldesai reminded the students that the tabs can be put to good and bad use, while urging the student community to avail the benefit for constructive purpose.
Deputy Director of Education, Ramkrishna Sawant, said the government could complete the process of distributing the tabs by January.
Meanwhile, the Fisheries Minister launched three Bal Rath buses at the Perpetual Convent High School, Navelim. While addressing the students and management, Avertano said the launching of the three school buses will benefit the students.
