Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the Public Accounts Committee report on illegal mining did not exist since it was not tabled in the Goa Assembly. Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao alleged that the Rs 35000 crore mining bogey was created to tarnish local miners and hand the leases over to crony capitalists. The Chief Minister said that based on the Chartered Accountant inquiry report and the SIT 56 case reports were ready and notices would be sent for recovery of mining loot.
