The accident led to the death of Anna Pavlova while her husband Sergey Pavlov who was driving the car was injured.
The truck driver Motilal Chavan, a native of Bijapur, has been arrested by Calangute police on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The victim’s body was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital from Asilo hospital.
Advocate Vikram Varma, legal representative for Russian Consulate said the families in Russia have been informed about the incident to take custody of the body.
“We are in touch with the Russian Embassy to provide all possible help to transport the body back to their hometown,” he said.
