PANJIM: The Russian Information Center, Goa, will conduct Russian language courses from April, to eliminate existing language barriers between Russian tourists and Indian businessmen. The courses are designed to help Indians working in tourism industry to learn industry-specific language within a short span of time.
According to a media release by the RIC, an open Russian language lesson will be conducted by RIC teachers for all Goa International Travel Mart (GITM) participants which begins April according to Ekaterina Belyakova, head of RIC Goa.
RIC will bring business delegations from CIS countries, including Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and several other countries to the GITM exhibition in Goa scheduled to begin next month.
As many of these countries were recently included in the list of countries eligible for simplified visa regime introduced by Indian government, Goa is likely to become a major destination in South Asia for these countries many of which are not currently having any charter flights for Goa unlike Thailand and Bali.
The Russian information center (RIC) in Goa will also set up a stall promoting Russia as an emerging tourist destination for India at Goa International Travel Mart (GITM) held from April 2-4 , 2014 at Taleigao. RIC will invite Russian musicians and performers and will serve guests traditional vodka with special Russian snacks.
