PANJIM: A fight broke out in Sada sub jail on Thursday among around 10 inmates with some of the jail birds getting injured and requiring hospitalization, officials said.
The scuffle between two groups of undertrials took place when the prisoners were taken out of their cells for lunch.
Sources said the jail officials and other inmates intervened to separate stop group members from fighting. One of the inmates received three stitches while others were bleeding. The cause of the fight is however not known. Jail officials would be inquiring into the episode, a senior officer said.
