MARGAO: In a meeting held on Monday at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim, police officers from Salcete were directed to take measures for maintaining law and order and peaceful conduct of panchayat polling.
The officers were directed to take care of the safety of ballot boxes and to keep a strict vigil in order to avoid any law and order situation.
The meeting addressed by Salcete Police Divisional Police Officer Margao discussed the elections-related issues and briefed the police officers and other subordinate staff to ensure peaceful conduct of panchayat polling.
