PANJIM: Due to multiple contradictions in the statement of witness Pandurang Arthalkar, Goa Police is finding it difficult in collecting evidence in the alleged murder of Shanu Gaonkar.
Speaking to the media, Deputy General of Police Vimal Anand Gupta said Police teams are still verifying and looking to collect definite evidence as alleged by Arthalkar in a video recording which was circulated on social media.
He said Arthalkar is continuously changing his statement, which contradict earlier ones. “We are trying our best to collect evidence but so far we have not been able to trace anything based on the Arthalkar’s statement. So far he has changed his statement thrice,” Gupta said.
