MARGAO: Madgaon Nagrik Samiti will felicitate Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat at a function to be held in the air conditioned auditorium of Margao Cricket Club on August 15 at 4 pm.
Eminent educationist Madhav Shrinivas Kamat and former judge of the Bombay High Court Justice Utkarsh V Bakre will felicitate Digambar on behalf of the Samiti and present him a memento. Digambar will be felicitated on being appointed Leader of Opposition and convener of the Samiti Ranjan Naik has appealed to his well wishers to attend the function.
Cleofato Almeida Coutinho said Digambar’s performance in the recently concluded Assembly session has been exemplary and pointed out that by virtue of being the Leader of Opposition; he is the shadow chief minister as per the British system of democracy.
