SANGUEM: The meeting of the Sanguem Congress Block Committee was held at Gurukul, Sanguem. The meeting was chaired by South Goa Mahila President Savitri Babu Kavlekar and was attended by a large number of party supporters and workers from Sanguem.
The meeting discussed the membership drive to be conducted shortly in the constituency. Discussions were also held on the party performance in the last assembly elections in Sanguem constituency.
During the course of the meeting it was resolved to enrol a minimum of 25 members by each of the party workers in the 32 booths spread all over the constituency.
However unlike in the earlier years, it was decided to have a photograph of the newly enrolled members on the primary membership form. This is for the first time that the photograph of the new members will be pasted on the form for the purpose of identity and to confirm that the members have actually put his signature on the form.
The meeting also discussed on the members being not informed of the meetings conducted by the Block Level Committee. Earlier President of Sanguem Block Congress(I) Committee Dr Revansiddh Naik welcomed the gathering.
