SANGUEM: The Control Room of the Electricity Department at Sanguem was presented with a unique gift on the eve of Diwali by Sanguem Municipal Councillor Meshu D’Costa.
The control room which is housed in the town area is meant for citizens to file complaints in case of power failure.
However when people called the assigned number at the control room, most of the time the allotted number either remains non-functional or is out of order or the employees were not around to attend the calls.
However with D’Costa having gifted the mobile phone to the office, the department employees will be left with no excuse to attend the calls.
D’Costa informed that he has recharged the mobile for next three months and people now can call 9423350166 to lodge their complaints.
He further informed that if the department fails to recharge the number subsequently than he would recharge it at his cost.
