Sanguem-Curchorem roads turn into death trap

Motorists drive on wrong side of the road in search of motorable patch

SANGUEM: The main road leading to Sanguem from Curchorem has deteriorated significantly, literally turning into a death trap. 

Despite numerous complaints from citizens, the authorities have turned a Nelson’s eye, leading to worsening of the situation and posing a serious safety hazard to road users. The construction work of sewerage lines in Curchorem has further worsened the condition of the roads, with no timely repairs being carried out.

Roads near the Shivaji Circle at Curchorem and opposite Ravindra Bhavan are severely damaged, forcing vehicle riders, especially two-wheeler riders, to navigate through risky conditions by driving on the wrong side of the road in search of a motorable patch.

Additionally, the road at Cacora and near the Government Polytechnic is in need of urgent repairs. It has become treacherous and accident-prone, with several accidents already occurring.
